It is a free-to-play kart racing game developed by Gameloft Barcelona and published by Gameloft.

Disney Speedstorm, the highly anticipated combat racing game featuring beloved Disney and Pixar characters, is set to exit early access and launch in its full version on September 28. The game will be available as a free-to-play title on multiple platforms, including PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X, and Nintendo Switch. Previously, since April, the game had a paid version priced at Rs. 2,497 for the Standard bundle, offering early access and various in-game rewards such as credits, skins, and avatars. Throughout the early access phase, Disney Speedstorm received valuable feedback from its dedicated community, resulting in significant enhancements and additions to racetracks and technical aspects. These improvements will be incorporated into the final release, although it remains unclear if new Deluxe or Ultimate editions will be introduced at that time.
Developer Gameloft expressed its gratitude for the support and input received from players during the early access phase, emphasizing the importance of the community in shaping the game. The transition to a free-to-play model aims to provide a more accessible and engaging competitive and cooperative racing experience to a wider audience. Gameloft looks forward to continuing this exciting journey with the player base. Notably, the Premium Founder's Packs will remain available for purchase until the game exits early access, offering exclusive items at a compelling value. The reference to potential price increases and future pack releases hints at the evolving nature of the game.
Disney Speedstorm is a kart racing game, akin to Nintendo's Mario Kart, featuring a captivating roster of characters, including Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Mulan, Baloo the Bear, Captain Jack Sparrow, and more. Each character possesses unique abilities, such as speed boosts and explosives, which can be strategically utilized to gain an advantage in races. The game showcases thrilling circuits inspired by the imaginative worlds of Disney and Pixar, encompassing diverse locales like Pirates of the Caribbean's Kraken Port, The Jungle Book's Jungle Ruins, and Monsters Inc.'s Scare Floor. Crossplay functionality enables players on different platforms to seamlessly enjoy the game together. Additionally, Gameloft has promised regular additions of new racers and seasonal content to further enrich the experience.
