Mahindra to launch 3 new electric SUVs by 2024
Mahindra & #Mahindra (M&M) announced on August 15, 2022 that it will launch three new electric SUVs in India by 2024.
The SUVs will be based on the company's new INGLO EV platform and will be sold under the XUV and BE brands.
The first #SUV, the XUV.e8, will be launched in December 2024. It will be a mid-size SUV with a range of over 400 kilometers on a single charge. The XUV.e9 will be launched in April 2025 and will be a larger SUV with a range of over 500 kilometers. The BE.05 will be launched in October 2025 and will be a compact SUV with a range of over 300 kilometers.
The three SUVs will be equipped with a variety of advanced features, including connected car technology, driver assistance systems, and artificial intelligence. They will also be offered with a choice of battery packs and charging options.
M&M is targeting the premium electric #SUV segment with these new vehicles. The company expects to sell around 20,000 units of the three SUVs in the first year of launch.
The launch of these new #electric SUVs is part of #M&M's plan to become a leading electric vehicle manufacturer in India. The company has already invested over INR 100 billion in electric vehicles and plans to invest another INR 300 billion by 2027.
M&M is also working on a number of other electric vehicles, including a pickup truck, an electric bus, and an electric three-wheeler. The company expects to have a portfolio of 15 electric vehicles by 2027.
