Shruti Haasan and Kamal Haasan worked on an unfinished project
Shruti Haasan revealed in an Instagram AMA session that she was supposed to work with her father Kamal Haasan for a film called Sabaash Naidu,
but the project went unfinished. She also revealed that they might work together in a future project.
Sabaash Naidu is a spin-off of Kamal Haasan's character Balram Naidu from the 2008 film Dasavatharam. The film was announced in 2015 and was supposed to be directed by TK Rajeev Kumar. Shruti Haasan was cast as the female lead, while Kamal Haasan's younger daughter Akshara Haasan was cast in a supporting role.
The film was shot in a foreign location in 2016, but it was later dropped due to various reasons. Kamal Haasan has said that the script is still in his head and that he would like to make the film someday.
It would be great to see Shruti Haasan and Kamal Haasan collaborate on a film together. They are both talented actors and I think they would make a great onscreen pair. I'm hopeful that they will be able to work together on Sabaash Naidu in the future.
