BMW Motorrad India has officially launched the highly anticipated road-legal M 1000 RR motorcycle.

Priced at Rs 49 lakh (ex-showroom) for the base variant and Rs 55 lakh (ex-showroom) for the top-spec Competition variant, this flagship product will be brought to India as completely built-up units (CBUs). Bookings have already started, and deliveries are scheduled to begin in November.

The M 1000 RR base variant will be offered in Light White and M Motorsport color options, while the Competition variant will be available in Blackstorm Metallic and M Motorsport variations.

Powering this superbike is a liquid-cooled, 999cc, inline 4-cylinder engine that delivers an impressive output of 212 hp and 113 Nm of peak torque. It boasts exceptional performance figures, with a 0-100 kmph acceleration time of just 3.1 seconds and a top speed limited to 314 kmph.

In terms of features, the M 1000 RR comes equipped with a 6.5-inch TFT display featuring a GPS data logger and lap trigger. The motorcycle offers multiple riding modes, including 'Rain,' 'Road,' 'Dynamic,' and 'Race,' along with fully customizable 'Race Pro1-3' modes.

Customers opting for the M Competition variant will enjoy additional enhancements such as a milled parts package, a lighter metal swingarm weighing 220 grams less than the base-spec variant, and aero wheel covers. This high-performance motorcycle will compete with the Ducati Panigale V4R, recently launched in India at a significantly higher price of Rs 69.9 lakh (ex-showroom).
